I love watching football at that age level. Lots of fun.
The leadership thing was about Ryan's YM leaders. They expect these 12 and 13 year old boys to come in to YM and plan and do all the scout stuff and activities with no guidance from them. I think that they keep calling it tough love. In the meantime the boys aren't getting their scout stuff done or their Duty to God stuff done unless their parents make them do it. It's just gotten worse since Ryan has been the Deacon's quorum president and I've seen first hand was they are like to work with. I just wish that they would lead in a way that would be a good example to the boys because Ryan isn't getting much out of it from them. I would never do that to the YW I work with and they are the 14-15 year olds. Yesterday I just reached my breaking point with the laziness of one of his leaders and needed to express some frustration in a way that wouldn't be brought back down on Ryan.
