What a fun weekend! McKay and I spent the weekend in Pocatello so he could participate in the Simplot Games. It is a National Track Meet. There were 95 boys competing in the shot put. They narrowed it down to 20, then to 12. McKay made it to the final 12! He did awesome! Another teammate made it in the final 12 also. It was a fun time! It ended up being a nice little vacation for me too. I got caught up on some reading, we ate out, stayed in a motel and had no responsibilities except to get us to the meets on time!
This is the guy who took 1st place from Georgia. I took a picture because I think we will be seeing him in the Olympics!!
